FYI: WG4 has not received any requests yet, but I think that this issue
needs our attention.

Dear colleagues

In parallel to the preparation of the ISO Report TR 29166 on document
interoperability Fraunhofer FOKUS has worked, together with its
partners “Technical University Berlin” and “eGov Consulting and
Development” on document profiling. In a project sponsored by the
“German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology” we developed
concepts and tools supporting “feature based document profiling”. Some
intermediate results of our work have already been presented during
the SC34 WG5 meetings in 2011, some ideas are part of our contribution
to the WG5 study period report.

Now we have completed the final report of the project. It describes
and evaluates the main ideas and tools. I attach the document for your
information. Perhaps some results can be used for the future work in
WG5, especially for the discussion on the “Measurement model for
determination of interoperability between document formats”.

I would be happy for any kind of feedback,

best regards

Klaus-Peter
