I checked the schemas in all editions of Ecma 376.  It
appears that RNC schemas in the fourth and fifth edition
mistakenly keep the dateCompatibility attribute.  The
XSD schemas are fine.

I will remove this attribute from the RNG schemas.


It remains to address the ref attribute.
