Definition of the term "limit"

Charlie, I did wonder about this, but I think we need to define the term 'limit' so that it makes sense in the various contexts in which it is used throughout the spec. Murata-san has highlighted the problem with trying to use the term in its mathematical sense, in that, strictly speaking, it is the wrong term to use when the operation is over a set, such as in unions and intersections.
