Draft of ISO/IEC 26300:2006/Amd 1 for FPDAM ballot

Dear members of WG 6

 

I am pleased to attach what I believe to be the draft of Amendment 1 of
ISO/IEC 26300:2006 that is ready for its first ballot.

 

I have checked with the SC 34 Secretariat, and Kimura-san informs me that,
because the Amendment project was initiated at the March 2010 Plenary in
Stockholm, it falls follows the old JTC 1 procedural rules so far as
balloting is concerned. Consequently this draft will be issued for a
FOUR-month FPDAM ballot (not five, as I had thought).

 

You will notice that the draft is considerably longer than the one
previously circulated. This is entirely due to the addition at the end of an
almost-complete table of the line-number changes in schema fragments that
result from the application of amendments throughout the standard. The table
lacks only page number references, as a guide to implementers, and I have
taken the view that these are not needed by National Bodies to review the
text in technical terms.
