DR 09-0228 - General: Inappropriate first paragraph in §7 of Parts 1, 2 and 4

This is in regards to the GB defect report. Our proposed response is as follows.

I agree with the guidance provided by GB and recommend their proposed changes.  Here is the marked up text:

Text to be removed from Part 1, Section 7:

ISO/IEC 29500 is intended for use by implementers, academics, and application programmers. As such, it contains a considerable amount of explanatory material that, strictly speaking, is not necessary in a formal specification.

Text to be removed from Part 2, Section 7:

This Open Packaging specification is intended for use by implementers, academics, and application programmers. As such, it contains a considerable amount of explanatory material that, strictly speaking, is not necessary in a formal specification.

Text to be removed from Part 4, Section 7:

This  Part is intended for use by implementers, academics, and application programmers. As such, it contains a considerable amount of explanatory material that, strictly speaking, is not necessary in a formal specification.

FYI: Part 3, Section 7 had the similar text removed during the processing of the BRM resolutions.  No further changes are required to Part 3.
