Subject: Social Event at SC 34/ WG Meetings June 2011 in Berlin
----

Dear Kimura-san,

I am pleased to tell you, that the German NB mirror committee to SC 34 invites its guests to a social event in the evening of 2011-06-22.

We are planning to start the evening with a tour in Berlins Underground, followed by a supper in a beer garden near to the 'Kanzleramt'.

For making reservations and arrangements it would be very useful, to know about the number of participants at least 7 days prior to the event.
Therefore, I would ask you to inform the experts of SC 34 for that anyone who wants to participate sends me an e-mail (roman.grahle at din.de) until 2011-06-14, at the latest.

Best regards,
Roman

Background information underground tour:
The tour will lead visitors through civilian shelters and bunker complexes as they learn about life during the bombing campaigns in Berlin. Over the course of the tour, visitors will view a museum exhibition of WWII remnants that the Berlin Underworlds' Association has retrieved during their work below ground. The Underworlds' Museum displays objects from many layers of the long and fascinating history of subterranean Berlin. Visitors will see artifacts from Berlin's late-19th century pneumatic dispatch system, as well as documentation of the hundreds of kilometres of Berlin's sewer systems and of the city's many amazing cathedral-like brewery cellars.
