Here is a question for Microsoft experts.

Do we allow ZIP files to contain zip items representing neither parts
nor the media types stream?

The OPC specification is not clear, but the following sentence
appears to suggest that some ZIP items do not represent parts.

If neither Override nor Default elements with matching attributes are found
for the specified part name, the implementation shall not map this part
name to a part.


Moreover, 29500-1 allows unknown parts (9.1.4) and trash items (9.1.5),
although it disallows invalid parts (9.1.6).
