Subject: DR 10-0016
Hi folks
Happy New Year!
DR 10-0016, originally submitted by Alex Brown, was re-assigned to me at the
meeting last September.
I have come to two conclusions:
1. The problem with docPart is that the meaning of the term document
part in §17.5.2.9 through §17.5.2.14 is mostly different from elsewhere in
the text. Much of the confusion would be cleared up by changing the heading
of §17.5.2.9 to docPart (Glossary Document Entry Reference), and in the
narrative text of §17.5 changing all instances of document part to
glossary document entry.
2. Generally, I agree with Murata-san that changes are mostly not
needed to disambiguate other elements that have different meanings and
content models in different contexts. However, there are some exceptions. I
suggest that these be handled in a separate DR, which I will submit in due
course.
Regards,
Francis
