Hi Rex,

thanks for this. I think that the best way to handle this would to be include graphic examples in the narrative specification that illustrate the position of a chart using factor and edge controls. It should be noted that the two modes can be different means to reach the same effect, which is why MS Excel now defaults to using edge. An example of equivalence should be provided. The examples can be fairly schematic because it is really just about how various boxes are placed within each other.
