Subject: DR 17-0017 - response - SML: Column Width and Formatting
Rex,
The Excel team, after looking at Charlie's comments, believes that the
clarification has been covered - the follow-up seems to be around standard
clarity and conflict resolution and appears to be mostly directed towards
the committee, rather than new questions on Excel's implementation.
"Charlie's comments here seem to imply he understands that the way the
schema is structured makes it impossible to use CT_Col in the manner he
would like to use it due to the schema defaults creating conflicts in file
content that aren't apparent in the XML text. Excel has already clarified
that we resolve these conflicts as last-one-wins."
Alfred
